Vacant Positions:

𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:
- Information Technology Officer I: Serves as the primary IT and software coordination point for the Film Academy of the Philippines, liaising with external technology service providers and ensuring the effective delivery of IT solutions across the organization.

- Information Systems Analyst II: Responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of information systems supporting FAP programs, with primary focus on the Film Worker Database and related membership management systems.

- Information Officer I: Support the communication officers with logistical coordination as the communications team is always on the move and contribute in creation of publication materials. Any skills in copywriting, photo/video documentation and/or editing, graphic design, animation, etc. will be highly valued.

- Computer Maintenance Technologist I: Provides technical support and maintenance services for all computer hardware, peripherals, and network equipment used by FAP employees, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.

𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:
Senior Trade-Industry Development Specialist:
- Responsible for mounting events related to recognition of outstanding films
- Responsible in processing partnerships of the FAED with films it will be supporting.
- Events management with some contracts administration experience is a plus to be successful for this role.

𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:
The two (2) Trade-Industry Development Analyst shall assist in the conduct of different training programs of FAP.
Attend to trainers' and trainees' needs and concerns.

𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:
The Trade-Industry Development Analyst shall assist in the conduct of drafting policies concerning professionalization of film workers.

𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁:
- Administrative Officer IV: Assist the Administrative Unit in the planning and budget preparation, ex*****on, and monitoring. Finance/accounting experience will be highly valued.

- Administrative Officer II: Track and monitor FAP's accomplishments and budget utilization. Finance/accounting experience will be highly valued.

- Administrative Officer I: Assist the different divisions relative to general services and records keeping.

OPISYAL NA PAHAYAG NG MGA DALUBGURO AT MGA MAG-AARAL NG FILIPINOLOHIYA NG POLITEKNIKONG UNIBERSIDAD NG PILIPINAS HINGGIL SA PAGTATALAGA NG BAGONG TAGAPANGULO NG KWF (KOMISYON SA WIKANG FILIPINO)

Mariing tinututulan ng mga dalubguro at mga mag-aaral ng Filipinolohiya ng Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas ang pagtatalaga sa di-praktisyuner at walang sapat na kahusayan sa larangang pangwika at pangkultura para sa isang susing-posisyon sa Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF).

Isang malaking insulto ang pagkakatalagang ito sa mismong Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa. Lalo’t higit, ang pagkakatalaga sa bagong komisyoner ay repleksyon ng patuloy na pagpapabaya at kawalang interes ng gobyerno sa sarili nitong mga wika.

Naniniwala kami na makasasagka sa paggampan ng KWF ang walang-batayan, taliwas sa umiiral na mandato ng ahensya, at paurong ang hakbang na ito. Lubos nitong binabalewala kundi man tinatapakan ang pangunahing tungkulin ng Komisyon na linangin ang mga wika sa bansa na siyang susi pagpapatibay ng pambansang pagkakakilanlan at pagkakaisa bilang bansa ng mamamayang Pilipino, at sa demokratikong partisipasyon sa mga diskursong pambayan.

Gayundin, nananatiling walang malinaw na direksyon ang gobyerno sa pagpapatibay at pagpapaunlad ng Wikang Pambansa. Sa kabila ng kaliwa’t kanang pahayag ng mga politiko para sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika, walang signipikanteng batas na maipasa ang gobyerno upang mapanatili ang mga asignaturang nagtataguyod ng mga wika sa Pilipinas at/o paggamit nito sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno.

Kung tunay na pinapahalagahan ng pamahalaan ang papel ng KWF, titiyakin nitong ang mga namumuno rito ay hindi lamang mahusay sa larangan ng wika at kultura, kundi may makabayang tindig at pananaw pangwika.

Hindi dapat makasangkapan ng anumang pansariling interes ang isang posisyong may mabigat na tungkulin sapagkat ang wika ang pangunahing instrumento sa lahat ng anyo ng pagkatuto at paghubog ng pagkatao't pagkabansa. Liban na lamang kung ang pangunahing layunin ng katawa-tawang hakbanging ito (tulad ng marami pang nasasaksihan natin sa kasalukuyan) ay manatiling bansot ang kamalayan ng mamamayan upang manatili ang nakasusukang kalagayang pampolitika, pangkultura, at pang-ekonomiya ng bansa.

Nakikiisa ang mga dalubguro at mga mag-aaral ng Filipinolohiya sa mga nanawagang na muling pag-isipan ng administrasyong Marcos Jr. at kagyat na palitan ang bagong talagang komisyoner ng KWF. May higit na nararapat sa napakahalagang posisyong ito sa panahong higit na kailangang maisulong at mapaunlad ang Wikang Pambansa.

Nananatili ang mga laban sa pagpapanatili ng asignaturang Filipino sa akademya at pagpapahalaga nito sa iba pang mga dominyo sa lipunan. Manananatili ang mga dalubguro at mga mag-aaral ng Filipinolohiya at iba pang nagsusulong sa laban ng Wikang Pambansa sa pagharap sa krisis na kinaharap ng wika sa Pilipinas.

Dahil kung hindi kayang ilaban ng gobyerno ang sarili nitong wika, walang pagpipilian ang mamamayan kundi ang magkaisang tumindig para sa Wika at Bayan!
