Sharing this story with permission. 🤍

A breast cancer survivor shared: HMOs are helpful, but what happens when the doctor you need isn’t accredited, or when treatment goes beyond what your HMO can cover?

She went through surgery and 8 cycles of chemotherapy, 21 days apart, under the care of doctors including Dr. F. Lopez and Dr. S. Ang.

And while she had to face the difficult reality of losing part of her breast, she also had choices because she had the funds to make them.

Her doctors even gave her options for reconstruction—silicone, fat transfer from the butt (but realized it was too small 😁), or even fat from the tummy (instant tummy tuck!😅)

Years later, she can now share these details with a bit of humor. But behind those funny stories were gentle reminders:

𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺.

That’s why she strongly advocates for having a Critical Illness plan.

Because when illness happens, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

Options for treatment.
Options for doctors.
Options for recovery.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿.

Prepare while you can. You’ll be glad you did when you need it. 🧡

Life insurance can help keep those bills from becoming a burden. Make sure your family will be taken care of, no matter what.

✅₱500,000 𝑪𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑰𝒍𝒍𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑩𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒇𝒊𝒕 𝑷𝒂𝒊𝒅.

📌Last year: Policy Issued With Controlled Hypertension.
📌This year: Critical Illness Claim Approved for Coronary Artery Disease.

The following screenshots tell the story.

A daughter decided to protect her mother before a major health condition occurred.

Today, the family received a ₱500,000 lump-sum benefit, giving them one less financial burden to worry about.

Insurance cannot prevent illness.

But it can provide funds when they're needed most.

And that's exactly what happened here. 🧡

Currently reviewing different policies for a client, indeed, payment terms vary, there are:
➡️ single pay
➡️ 2,5,10 years to pay
➡️ whole-life pay but fixed amount
➡️ whole-life pay but price increases every 5 years, etc

So factors to consider on what works for you:
✅ Purpose of Plan
✅ Protection coverage
✅ Budget
✅ Commitment level

Oh well, . 😊

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 (𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 5)

An engineering services company with 5 Board of Directors recently acquired ₱10M Life Insurance + ₱2M Critical Illness Benefit for 4 of their BODs.

What triggered the decision?

One of their BODs recently suffered a stroke.

It made them realize that the people behind the big decisions are among the company’s most valuable assets.

If one becomes seriously ill or dies, it can impact operations, cash flow, and the future of the business.

If one of your key decision-makers is suddenly out of the picture, can your business continue?

Remember, the most important assets of a business are the people behind it. 🧡

The first thing people should protect when building wealth is not a property, investment, or bank account. It’s the person earning the money.

Because when you’re prepared for life’s “what ifs,” you can focus on enjoying the fruits of your labor and living the life you’ve worked hard for.

Is the wealth you’re building well-protected?

As parents, one of the best feelings is knowing that your child's future and well-being are protected. Recently, I assisted with an insurance application for a child diagnosed with epilepsy. Many people think that having a medical condition automatically means being uninsurable, but that's not always the case.

Key Takeaways:
✅ Having a medical condition does not automatically mean you can't qualify for insurance coverage. With FWD, we can still explore your options.
✅ We design plans based on your needs, priorities, and budget.
✅ We guide you throughout the entire process.
✅Complete medical records, a responsive doctor, and proper guidance can help make the assessment process smoother. Kudos to the parent for keeping complete records and to the attending physician for their timely support.

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 (𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 4)

A wife and mother in her late 40s discovered last year that she had a lump in her throat. The presence of the lump was confirmed, but she chose not to proceed with a biopsy.

Today, speaking has become difficult for her. Yet despite the challenges, she continues to work, care for her family, and fulfill her responsibilities every day.

Recently, she organized the debut celebration of her only daughter. Despite her difficulty in speaking, she made sure everything went well and remained fully present for one of her daughter’s most important milestones.

Watching her reminded me that life can change in an instant.

Sometimes, the emotional burden of a health concern is already heavy enough. The uncertainty, fear, and countless questions can be overwhelming. Financial pressure only makes it harder.

It’s a reminder of why protection matters. Insurance cannot prevent illness, but it can help lessen financial worries so people can focus on seeking answers, getting treatment, and spending more time with the people they love.
