The Bureau of Internal Revenue has released Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 036-2026, announcing the availability of the updated Online eBIRForms Package Version 7.9.6.
Here are the key highlights you need to know:
✅ Updated filing rules for BIR Form 1701-MSM (for individuals under MICRO or SMALL taxpayer classification)
✅ New Alphanumeric Tax Codes (ATCs) for specific income payments
✅ TIN branch codes expanded from 3 digits to 5 digits
✅ Revised rules on Quarterly Income Tax Returns filing deadlines
✅ Additional bug fixes and system improvements for smoother e-filing

The filing for 2025 Annual Income Tax Return are extended, from April 15, 2026 to May 15, 2026 This gives taxpayers more time to file properly, with all required documents, and without penalties.

You can file and pay through BIR electronic platforms, or at Authorized Agent Banks.
