As the success of the Purchasing Initiative Southeast Asia from 2022 to 2025 led to new business relationships between German buyers and Southeast Asian suppliers, this digital B2B event series will continue in 2026.

This initiative by the Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. (BME) aims to connect both buyers and suppliers across different industries through targeted sessions. This event is a project-related measure within the framework of the Market Development Program for SMEs and primarily targets small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany, as commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).

As we gear up for June, here's a quick revisit to last year's fairways! ⏪⛳

Last 2024, the GPCCI German Ambassador's Cup (GGAC) delivered a day to remember on 15 November at Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa, Batangas. Despite being sandwiched between two consecutive typhoons, the tournament pushed through with players sporting a fresh kit courtesy of Allianz PNB Life Insurance and kicking off the Ceremonial Tee Off with vibrant blue smoke. The competition was fierce, with Mr. Mark Ian Espiritu taking home the GGAC 2024 Champion title courtesy of Turkish Airlines. The day wrapped up at the German Ambassador's Residence, where attendees celebrated over beers by Krah Pipes Manila and dinner by the German Club Manila. The celebration culminated in a donation cheque given to the tournament's beneficiary, Physicians for Peace.

Now we're bringing that spirit to the Mabuhay Germany Ambassador's Cup (MGAC) on 5 June 2026, once again at Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club, Lipa, Batangas. See you back on the greens this 5 June!

🔍 The German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry is looking for a Finance and Admin Intern (Audit Preparation & Team Support)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized intern to join our team in preparation for the upcoming DIHK Audit 2026 (German Chamber of Commerce and Industry audit).

This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world accounting processes, audit preparation, and event finance and administrative support—ideal for students pursuing Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

📌 Responsibilities:
-Assist in organizing, sorting, and filing financial documents from 2024 to 2026 for audit readiness
-Ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documents (invoices, receipts, contracts)
-Support the finance team in retrieving and validating records for audit requirements
-Maintain physical filing system
-Assist in the collection and monitoring of payments during events
-Monitor and record employee meal (galley) consumption in an Excel file for proper tracking and reporting
-Assist in updating the Finance Handbook in compliance with DIHK and Financial Reporting Standards
-Assist in updating the Employee Handbook in preparation for audit requirements
-Perform basic accounting and administrative tasks as needed

-Currently taking up Accounting, Finance, or any related course
-Highly organized with strong attention to detail
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel
-Able to handle repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency
-Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
