I’m Aris Calangi, the owner and CEO of Plexus Financials

I lead, educate and inspire young professionals to create wealth while pursuing their purpose and enjoying work-life balance. I feel like I had no direction and not making enough because I was still dependent on my getting old parents and also not fulfilled with what I was doing. I decided enough is enough. I began researching how to live a

Your relationship with failure will shape your relationship with growth.

Kasi at first, failure feels personal.

Parang:
ā€œBaka hindi talaga ako magaling.ā€
ā€œMali yata ginagawa ko.ā€
ā€œSiguro hindi para sakin ito.ā€

But eventually you realize…

Failure is rarely a signal to stop.

Most of the time, it’s simply information.

Feedback.
Redirection.
Clarity.

One failed meeting teaches communication.

One rejected financial solution teaches positioning.

One wrong hire teaches discernment.

One bad investment teaches risk management.

One difficult season teaches emotional control.

Hindi mo agad napapansin habang nangyayari.

Pero later on, you realize:

Some of the lessons that built you came from the seasons that humbled you.

And the older we get, the more we understand this:

Failure is expensive.

But staying the same is even more expensive. 🤣

No healthy business grows perfectly.

No mature person develops without mistakes.

Imagine if every entrepreneur quit after the first rejection, first loss, or first embarrassing attempt.

Ang daming magagandang negosyo, ideas, at opportunities ang hindi sana nabuo.

Growth doesn’t belong to people who never fail.

It belongs to people who stay teachable after they do.

Because maturity is not avoiding mistakes.

It’s having the humility to learn from them and the courage to keep building anyway. ā¤ļø

30 players, 3 courts, and 4 hours of games and laughter with friends at Lipa Elite Pickleballā˜ŗļø

Grateful to simply help facilitate these Sunday pickleball sessions and see church friends enjoy the games, connect, and keep showing up week after week. Going strong for 4 straight Sundays now ā˜ŗļø

Next week’s session is already almost full too, 32 confirmed out of 34 spots so far. Looks like the pickleball era is spreading fast ā˜ŗļøšŸ†

One random free slot for open play turned my chill Saturday into a super fun night of pickleball, meeting new people, and somehow making it 3 straight days on the court already šŸ˜…šŸ¤šŸ˜†

Grateful for another meaningful Weekly Kapehan. ā˜•

As financial planners, conversations who had today remind us that growth happens through continuous learning, proper guidance, and surrounding yourself with people who value progress.

Thankful for the opportunity to share insights, learn from one another, and grow together ā¤ļø

There’s something different about conversations with people in the medical field.
They spend so much of their lives caring for others that sometimes, their own future gets placed on hold.

Today, we had a meaningful virtual meeting with a medical practitioner who openly shared how past investment experiences made her more cautious about financial decisions. And honestly, that hesitation was understandable.

So instead of focusing on selling an idea, we focused on understanding her concerns, answering difficult questions, and giving clarity around something many professionals quietly struggle with:

the risk of preparing for the future…
and the risk of losing valuable time by doing nothing at all.

One thing I’ve learned is that wise decisions are rarely made through pressure.
They’re made through understanding, timing, and trust built through honest conversations.

By the end of the meeting, she felt more confident, informed, and at peace with taking her next step. What mattered most wasn’t just the decision itself, but knowing she now sees her time and future from a clearer perspective.

Moments like this are always meaningful to me
because adding value to someone’s life will always matter more than simply making a presentation.

There was a time when progress was supposed to feel good.

Akala ko kapag tama yung ginagawa mo,
dapat smooth.
Dapat confident.
Dapat walang kaba.

But life doesn’t really work that way.

Every meaningful growth season usually starts with discomfort.

First client presentation.
First time leading a team.
First rejection.
First difficult conversation.
First big responsibility na hindi mo sure kung ready ka ba talaga.

And honestly?

Most of the time, it doesn’t feel exciting at first.

It feels awkward.
Heavy.
Uncomfortable.

Minsan mapapatanong ka pa kung para ba talaga sayo yung ginagawa mo.

But over time, one thing became clearer:

Discomfort is often a sign of development.

Signal na may ini-stretch sa’yo.
Signal na hindi ka na pareho sa dati.
Signal na you are entering a level you’ve never handled before.

Most people avoid discomfort because they think something is wrong.

So they choose what’s familiar.
Safe.
Predictable.

And sometimes, that’s exactly why nothing changes.

Because growth rarely introduces itself as comfort.

Confidence is usually built through awkward repetitions.
Wisdom is often formed through mistakes.
And resilience is developed in seasons nobody posts about.

Pressure doesn’t automatically destroy people.
Sometimes, it reveals what they’re becoming.

Looking back now, some of the moments that felt the most uncomfortable…
were actually the moments that produced the most growth.

So if life feels stretching lately,
maybe it’s not punishment.

Maybe you’re simply growing into a version of yourself that your old comfort zone can no longer contain.

ā€œ2 lives.ā€

Simple words, but deeply meaningful.

For the past 7 years, trust was built not only through financial advice, but through conversations about retirement, health, family, and the realities that eventually come with time.

They’re almost 20 years older, yet moments like this prove that value isn’t always measured by age. Sometimes, it comes from helping people prepare while they still can.

Today, an official account was set up that can provide lifetime payouts to continuously add to their retirement fund while also creating something meaningful for the family they love and want to leave remembered.

Because financial planning is never just about money.

It’s about dignity during retirement.

Peace of mind during uncertain seasons.

And making sure loved ones won’t be left carrying unnecessary burdens someday.

Hindi man makokontrol lahat ng mangyayari in the future, pero sabi nga nila…
ā€œAt least meron, kaysa wala.ā€

And sometimes, that simple preparation can make all the difference.

People may forget the presentation, the numbers, or even the meeting…
but they will always remember the feeling of security knowing their future and family are protected.

Grateful to add value.
Grateful for the 2 lives.
Glory to God. šŸ™

What started as a simple game is turning into a growing community and we’re just getting started.

Grateful for everyone who keeps showing up every week. See you next Sunday! šŸ„’šŸŽ¾

ADVICE TO MILLENNIALS and GENZERs

Build a life, not just a rƩsumƩ.

Work hard, but don’t lose yourself trying to prove your worth through promotions, titles, or productivity. Your job is part of your life not your whole identity.

Go home. Rest. Spend time with people who love you even when you’re not achieving anything.

Learn to save money, avoid unnecessary debt, and live within your means. Hindi lahat ng ā€œdeserve ko ’toā€ ay wise decision. Peace is more valuable than appearances.

Stay away from gossip, toxic competition, and office politics. You can grow without stepping on people.

Improve your skills quietly. Let excellence and integrity speak louder than self-promotion.

Don’t compare your timeline with others. Some people bloom early, others bloom deeply.

Protect your private life. Not everything needs to be posted online for validation.

Take care of your health, your faith, your family, and your inner life. Burnout is not success.

Use your leave days well. Travel if you can. Rest if you need to. Reconnect with people. Reconnect with God.

If possible, build something slowly for your future while you still have stable income. Small, consistent progress matters.

And remember:
A meaningful life is not measured only by salary, status, or achievements but by peace, character, relationships, and the kind of person you become along the way.

Work faithfully.
Live wisely.
Stay humble.
Trust God with the timing.

Life is not a race to impress people.
It’s a journey to live with purpose, grace, and gratitude.
