💔 “The Day After the Fire”

4 days ago, my neighbor’s small sari-sari store burned down overnight.

I still remember her face the next morning — sitting quietly in front of what used to be her store, holding her empty cash box.
She said, “Lahat ng pinaghirapan ko, nawala sa isang gabi.”

Kung napaghandaan lang nila ito, kahit papaano, hindi sana ganoon kabigat ang epekto.
