What separates the Poor, the Middle Class and the Rich.

Some people in the middle class think they are rich because they have a good salary and a great job. Maybe they have a six figure income but what they buy with their money is what keeps them stuck in the middle class. Instead of buying inexpensive little thing’s, they buy LIABILITIES.

The middle class buy things like big houses, nice cars, vacations and pays for them on credit card that they pay for them each month. Each month is a new thing and it adds a little bit to the monthly bills. After awhile their monthly bills catch up with their monthly income and they are trapped in debt.

The Poor thinks that Asset is something that you own like a house, a car, or something expensive. But the rich have a different definition of Asset and it is “SOMETHING THAT PAYS YOU.” Education is an Asset because in the future it pays you. A Retirement Plan is an Asset because in the future it pays you when you are no longer able to work due to old age.

I just realized that spending all your money without thinking about saving is a form of pride. We are actually showing people that we can afford anything we like to buy. Don't you think so?

A mariner is only hired if he is found to be physically and psychologically fit for the work he does. That means a seafarer's greatest asset is his health. Excellent credentials and experience come in next. He works in a contractual basis, 9 months maximum. That means the pay automatically stops when he is on vacation. If found unfit for his position due to poor health, or poor skills, or bad work habits, he will no longer be re-hired by the company.
