STEPS IN REGISTERING YOUR NEW BUSINESS
1. DTI Business Name Registration
- Start by registering your business name with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) This step ensures that your desired business name is officially reserved.
- You can reserve your business name for up to 30 days by filling out the Business Name Registration Form and paying the reservation fee.
2. BIR Registration
- Within **30 days** after securing your DTI Certificate, you must register your business with the BIR.
- Failure to register within this timeframe may result in penalties, regardless of whether your business is operational or not. Penalties are varied in different business location if 1st class City you will get higher penalties compared to municipalities.
3. Required Documents for BIR Registration
- When registering with the BIR, you'll need the following documents:
- DTI Certificate**: Proof of your registered business name.
- Mayor's Permit (Business Permit): While you don't need it before BIR registration, you'll need it later for business closure purposes.
