‘MY DAD’S BEEN DEAD FOR 11 YEARS PERO HANGGANG NGAYON NAGPO-PROVIDE PA RIN SIYA SA’MIN’

Iyan ang ipinahayag ni Eric Quizon sa isang panayam ni Ogie Diaz makaraang mapag-usapan nila ang patungkol sa mga naiwang ari-arian ng kanyang namayapang ama na si Dolphy.

“Sa kabatiran ng marami ’no, 18 ang anak ni tito Dolphy. So ’yung 18 na ba ’yon, Eric, walang nangyaring problema, wala kayong na-encounter na ’yung isa hindi sumang-ayon tapos ’di na tuloy natuloy ’yung... transaksyon,” saad ni Ogie.

“Alam mo, ang maganda… halos lahat ng transaksyon naman, hindi natuloy. Ako na mismo ’yung ’Hindi, hindi natin gagawin ’to kasi hindi maganda ‘to para sa’tin.’ Then ine-explain ko naman sa kanila kung bakit. Definitely of course, labing-walo kami, so may kanya-kanyang mga idea ’yang mga ’yan,” pahayag ni Eric.

“However, ang pinag-aanuhan namin kasi, bago namatay ang daddy ko, sinabi sa’min, ‘Ayokong mag-aaway kayong lahat ha.’ So kumbaga parang tumatak sa isip namin ’yun na basta ’pag may problema, ayusin mo ’yan, ayusin niyo ’yan. Of course natural lang ’yung merong diskusyon na ’Bakit gano’n? Dapat mas mataas ‘yung presyo. Dapat ganito, dapat ganyan.’ But in the long run, somehow, we managed to agree on everything that is laid upon us. Kumbaga pagka merong binebenta na lupa, or merong ka-joint venture, nilalatag ko sa bawat isa sa kanila and then for some reason naman, lahat naman nag-aagree,” kuwento ni Eric.

“Ang maganda nga dito Ogs, biro mo, my dad’s been dead for 11 years pero hanggang ngayon nagpo-provide pa rin siya sa’min… Kasi every month, may nakukuha ’yung mga kapatid ko,” pagpapatuloy pa niya.
