A Tribute to the Thirty-Six Pioneers
In the early days of what we now know as the Calapan Vendors Multi-Purpose Cooperative—once called the Calapan Fish Vendors MPC—there were thirty-six brave souls who dared to dream and act. They were not just vendors; they were visionaries who saw beyond the daily trade, who believed in the power of unity, and who planted the first seeds of cooperation.
With courage and sacrifice, they built a foundation not only for livelihood but also for dignity, mutual support, and hope. From the humble stalls of the fish market, their dream grew into a thriving cooperative that now stands as a testament to what shared vision can achieve.
Today, as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary this August 15, we honor these thirty-six pioneers—not just as part of our history, but as the very heart and soul of our cooperative. Because of them, we walk a path lit with purpose, bound by the spirit of togetherness, and inspired to continue building a better future for all.
