After completing the 2023–2025 balance sheet and profit & loss report.... My boss's business partner contacted me and asked if I could also help with another task for another company.
Just recently, I shared na kahihiwalay lang namin ng 2yr-client ko, It wasn’t easy, then dumating naman to sa isa ko pang client... when one door closes, another one quietly opens. Salamat sa Dios!
Maybe this is what you call a referral? or simply when someone sees your potential and trusts your work enough to give you another opportunity. 🙏
A million thanks to God!

January and February are heavy months for a bookkeeper like me.
And honestly, these months are not all wins. While I’m busy closing February books and finalizing month-end reports, I’m also closing the books for my 2-year US client.
…the message no VA wants to receive.
This is the real side of freelancing—sometimes you gain, sometimes you lose. That’s why having a backup plan isn’t optional… it’s necessary.
Still, we show up. Still, we work.
Because in this journey, every day is a grind day. 💻✨

Wag sana tayo dumating sa ganito sa darating na summer 🫣😂😅

Not only high salary, easy work, or bonuses are worth celebrating. Having a boss who appreciates your effort—even when things aren’t perfect—is something to be grateful for. Grateful to start 2026 this way.

This was my humble beginning.
An old and slow laptop. No chair, no proper table.
I worked sitting on the floor—the same spot where I rested after every shift.
A small lamp I bought online, because everyone at home needed to sleep while I worked graveyard shift. I learned to work quietly, with just enough light.
While scrolling through my photos, napansin ko ang dami kong saved na inspirational workstations. Mga cozy at minimalist desks ng ibang VAs at screenshot from Pinterest. Dati, pangarap ko lang ‘yon. I kept telling myself, “Magkakaroon din ako nito.”
And now… after 6 years, I’m slowly building my dream workstation. ✨
This isn’t about aesthetics. Comfort matters when you work 8–10 hours a day.
Your first workstation is a story of sacrifice and resilience.
This industry doesn’t always give overnight success.
For some, it’s quick, but for many like me, it takes years.
So if you’re still struggling — laban lang, tuloy lang. Your time will come. 💻🤍

... how powerful simple reminders can be, “run your own race” and “don’t be too hard on yourself".
2026, I’m choosing to listen to more meaningful talks, surround myself with positive vibes, and continuously improve myself - in my work, career, family, and as a wife.
We all have different timelines, paces, and journeys. There’s no need to rush or compare — just keep moving forward, one step at a time. 🎧✨
Happy monday, everyone!

🔴 READ and COMPREHEND 🔴
Clients don’t wake up thinking,
“Ayaw ko ng newbie.”
They wake up thinking,
“Ayoko ng sakit ng ulo.”
Experience is not about years.
It’s about risk reduction.
If wala kang experience, ang tanong is not
“Paano ako magkaka-chance?”
The real question is:
“Paano ko babawasan ang risk para sa client?”
Here’s the truth they don’t tell you:
🔹 Clients don’t pay for potential
🔹 They pay for proof
And proof doesn’t always mean past clients.
So paano ka magkaka-chance kahit wala kang experience?
1️⃣ You build proof before asking for trust.
Mock tasks. Case studies. Practice outputs.
Something to show what you can do hindi lang sinasabi.
2️⃣ You position yourself as low-risk
“Willing to learn” is common.
“Here’s how I will learn, test, and deliver” show sample. Much better right?
3️⃣ You stop competing with experienced VAs
You don’t beat them with years.
You beat them with preparation, effort, and clarity.
Because experience is not always equal to skill or productivity or effectiveness. Marami akong kakilala na matagal na pero mas magaling pa ang mga new hires.
4️⃣ You accept that beginners pay in EFFORT first
Hindi ka binabayaran agad ng pera.
Binabayaran ka muna ng time, practice, and discipline.
If you want the benefits of experience without doing the work of gaining it — that’s entitlement, not disadvantage.
Everyone who is “experienced” today was once the VA with no experience.
The difference?
They didn’t wait for a chance.
They built one.
ACTIVE, FREE, beginner-friendly resources you can use to create mock tasks, simulations, and proof of skill as a newbie VA in the comments. (Hoard na naman) 🥴
