The Student Commission on Audit (SCOA) of UM Bansalan College successfully conducted AUDITalks: From Documentation to Compliance – Building Accountable Student Leaders yesterday, September 26, 2026, at the UMBC Accounting Laboratory.

The seminar provided an avenue for student leaders to strengthen their understanding of proper documentation, organizational compliance, transparency, and accountability. 3RD REGULAR SESSION OF THE STUDENT COMMISSION ON AUDIT

The Student Commission on Audit (SCOA) of the University of Mindanao Bansalan College (UMBC) conducted its 3rd Regular Session today, September 23, 2026, at the UMBC Kiosk.

The session primarily focused on the preparations for the upcoming seminar scheduled for Saturday, including the necessary coordination and organizational arrangements. The Commission also deliberated on the scheduled official pictorial of the SCOA Commissioners, as well as the review and revision of the Annual Operational Plan (AOP) to ensure its alignment with the Commission’s objectives and planned activities.

Other pertinent matters concerning the Commission’s operations, upcoming activities, and organizational concerns were likewise discussed and addressed during the session.

The meeting reflects the Commission’s continued commitment to proper planning, coordination, accountability, and the effective discharge of its responsibilities.

In behalf of the Student Commission on Audit (SCOA), we extend our sincere congratulations to the Management Accounting students of the University of Mindanao Bansalan College for securing the Championship Award in the Project Pitching Competition during the 2nd ACON – Accounting Convergence 2026, held at the University of Mindanao Matina Campus, Davao City.

The participating students competed against twelve (12) other universities and demonstrated commendable competence, creativity, collaboration, and commitment throughout the competition. Their achievement reflects the academic preparation, discipline, and collective efforts of the Management Accounting students in developing an innovative and sustainable project.

The University of Mindanao – Bansalan College celebrated its much-anticipated Acquaintance Party 2026, embracing the vibrant spirit of Coachella through music, fashion, performances, and student camaraderie.

Behind the celebration, the Student Commission on Audit (SCOA) remained committed to its mandate of promoting transparency, accuracy, and accountability through the monitoring and verification of attendance and event tabulation.

Throughout the afternoon and evening, SCOA Commissioners conducted attendance checking and monitoring of student entry and exit, ensuring that attendance records were properly documented. The Commission likewise took part in the tabulation of attendance during the evening events, exercising due diligence in recording and consolidating the necessary data.
