Friday called for cheese scones 🧀

So in among the usual Friday busyness, we rolled up our sleeves and got baking.

Marwa stepped up as sous chef.
Rose took charge of plating.
Sarah was on overseeing duties. Someone had to do it... 👀

And then there were the taste testers, who took their job very seriously.

A little bit of work, a little bit of baking and a lot of fun. Not a bad way to spend a Friday in the office.

Harry was stretched thin.

Running Gelous. Running another business. Deep in the day-to-day.

Stepping back felt like the wrong move. Anthony saw it differently.

He pushed Harry to appoint a General Manager and move into a more strategic role.

"It was something Harry wouldn't have been able to decide by himself," Michelle said. "He needed that push."

The GM took on staff, warehouse and the daily rhythm. Harry and Michelle got their headspace back.

Sometimes the hardest call is the one you need someone else to help you make 🤝

Gelous started with a terrible birthday present.

Harry bought Michelle a gel nail kit. It didn't go well.

Over a glass of w**e, the conversation turned into research. The research turned into a plan.

$10,000. Both still working full time. In 2018, Gelous was born.

Then came fast growth, a lockdown surge nobody saw coming, and big decisions about when to hire, step back, and build something new.

Walked in this Monday morning to find this on the kitchen board.

Still thinking about this one from The Gap Aim conference a couple of weeks back.

What a two days! 🙌

Last week the Evolve team headed to The Gap 2026 AIM Advisory in Motion conference - two days packed with big ideas, great conversations, and so much inspiration to bring back to the office.

We also went into the awards dinner as finalists in the Three Freedoms Award AND Advisory Firm of the Year. We didn't take home the win, but we're so proud to have been in that room. The calibre of firms in this industry is something else.

Proud of this team, and excited about what's ahead 💙
