Last week, our interns stepped out of the office to work alongside Full Bellies Charitable Trust and Kairos Food Rescue to help pack food parcels for children and families in need of a little extra support.

Community engagement is built into our internship program, and we’re grateful for the chance to contribute to such meaningful local initiatives. A huge thank you to Full Bellies and Kairos for the incredible work they do every day to make a difference!

We’re proud supporters of Full Bellies Charitable Trust and were happy to help “fill the seats” of the One New Zealand Stadium in their recent virtual fundraiser!

Led by Full Bellies in partnership with the Crusaders, this campaign aimed to ensure no child in Canterbury goes to school hungry. Together, the community rallied to fill virtual seats at One New Zealand Stadium with every seat purchased funding a real school lunch for a child in need.

At BDO Christchurch, we’re committed to backing causes that create positive change, and it’s a privilege to be a part of efforts that make a tangible difference for children and families in Canterbury.

We’re excited to welcome 16 new interns to the BDO Christchurch team for the next 10 weeks!

During their first week, our interns have embraced the BDO culture, taking part in activities designed to build connections and provide insight into our business. Highlights included a morning tea with our Partners, a lunch and team-building session at Serve Social with their buddies, and an engaging speed networking event with our managers.

This Matariki, we celebrated by showcasing each star of the cluster in our staff hub, highlighting their significance and the activities they inspire! 🌟 A huge thank you to our Social Club for treating us to Posh Porridge on Thursday – it was the perfect way to share kai and connect before the long weekend.

Today, we come together to stand against bullying and promote kindness, inclusivity, and respect.

Our office was buzzing with positive energy as we came together to enjoy some sweet pink treats and donned our pink shirts, symbolizing our commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone!
