Major Tax & Revenue Reforms by Budget 2083/84
1.Income tax exemption threshold increased to NPR 1 million (10 lakhs).
2.Maximum income tax rate reduced by 10 percentage
3.For NEPSE investors, Capital Gains Tax is now treated as a Final Withholding Tax.
4.Tax-deductible housing insurance premium limit increased from NPR 5,000 to NPR 10,000.
5.Customs duties reduced on 273 industrial raw materials.
6.Excise duties completely removed on 360 items.
7.Customs duty structure simplified from 11 slabs to 7 slabs.
8.10% VAT refund for digital payments made at the time of billing.
9.Fully automated VAT refund system introduced.
10.Tax assessment period reduced from 4 years to 3 years.
11.Taxpayers with an annual turnover exceeding NPR 10 crore and operating under the e-Billing system will now be required to register under the Central Billing Monitoring System (CBMS).

Verification can now be done at your Local Ward Office or by the Local Level Chief/Deputy Chief. Simply verify and upload!
