This week, Director of Stepp Bella-Rosa & Namibia, MC Dreyer , takes on one of the toughest endurance races on the planet — Expedition Africa 2026 in the breathtaking Drakensberg.

Together with teammates Riaan Combrink, Maretha Combrink, and Danie van Aswegen, Team Stepp Adventure Racing will tackle an extreme multi-day expedition across mountains, rivers, and remote wilderness.

But here’s the real challenge…
❌ No GPS allowed.

Every checkpoint must be found using only a topographic map and compass — often in the dark, exhausted, and deep in the mountains. One wrong decision can cost hours.

📍 The numbers:
• 502 km total distance
• 13 795 m of ascent
• 8 race legs across the Drakensberg

Because in Adventure Racing, it’s not about the fastest athlete…
It’s about the strongest team. 💪

We are incredibly proud that Team Stepp is representing Stepp South Africa and Stepp Namibia in this world-class expedition challenge.
