Why Financial Literacy Matters for Everyone
Let’s talk about something we all use every day - money.
Money is not just about spending. It’s about choices. Financial literacy simply means understanding how money works ( how to earn it, save it, grow it, and spend it wisely).
Many of us were never really taught how to handle money and therefore learn through trial and error and most times, sometimes the hard way.
But imagine if we all knew how to plan in line with priorities, budget, how to save before spending, and how to plan for emergencies and most importantly track how the budget goes with the plan. We’d make better decisions and have more control over our future.
Financial literacy is not for the rich, it’s for everyone. Whether you earn a little or a lot, it’s not what you make, it’s what you keep and grow that builds stability.
So, start small: Track where your money goes;save something , even a few shillings consistently;avoid unnecessary debt; and always plan for the long term initiatives such as education, business, or retirement.
When you understand money, you don’t just survive, you thrive. Financial literacy is freedom!!!
