Our client a SME in food processing operating in Nairobi is looking for a Plant Accountant. This is position is to be filled immediately.

 Job Type: Full Time
 Qualification: Accounting degree
 Experience: 3 years
 Location: Nairobi

Do you believe you have what it takes to provide all accounting, booking keeping and finance services for a vibrant fast growing company in food processing industry.
Applications are invited from suitable candidates to fill the above position in The Finance Department.
The successful candidates are responsible for ensuring that proper books of account timely a timely and accuracy basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
 Updating Quick Books on a daily basis.
 Carry out weekly and monthly petty cash and bank reconciliations.
 Maintain up to date accounting records.
 Ensure implementation of company policies, procedures and SOP’s.
 Develop and foster good relations with internal and external customers and suppliers.
 Provide financial information to the Directors.
 Prepare Monthly financial statements.
 Ensure suppliers invoices are processed accurately.
 Perform billing functions for customers.
 Maintain accurate costing systems and prepare monthly cost of production
Skill set requirement
 Education: Minimum KCSE Mean C Plus, with computer proficiency.
 Relevant professional accounting qualification at least Part II.
 Experience: At least 3 years experience as a plant accountant in a busy operational plant.
 Good written and verbal communications skills.
 Excellent microsoft office skills.
 Proficiency in the use QuickBooks.
