India’s factory growth slowed again in June.
India’s Manufacturing PMI fell to 54.2 in June 2026 from 55.0 in May, showing that manufacturing is still expanding, but the pace has clearly moderated.
A PMI above 50 means growth, but the slowdown points to weaker momentum in output, new orders, and export demand.
The key concern: international sales grew at the weakest pace since March 2023, partly due to softer demand from some European markets.
Simple takeaway:
India’s manufacturing engine is still running, but not at full speed.

India’s EMS Boom: Growth Is Visible, But Margins Tell the Real Story
But EMS is not just “electronics growth”.
EMS = Electronics Manufacturing Services - companies that manufacture electronic products/components for mobile, auto, consumer electronics, railways, defence, industrials etc.
Revenue growth is clearly visible across many players.
But in this sector, margins matter more than headlines.
Why?
Because EMS is often a thin-margin business.
A company can grow sales fast, but if product mix, working capital, costs or ex*****on are weak, profits can stay under pressure.
For investors, EMS is a strong theme to track but focus on:
Revenue growth + EBITDA margins + order book + cash discipline.
