The Govt has announced a new cess namely "krishi Kalyan cess" in their budget proposals to be levied at 0.5% on the value of all taxable services w.e.f 1st June 2016 . Thereby, effective rate of Service tax going to be increased from 14.5% to 15%.

Tax Update:
Last date of online filing of wb vat/ cst /entry tax return for Q.E. 31.3.2016 extended to 16.5.2016 and hard copy 23.5.2016.

Date has been extended for e filing of income tax return and audit report u/s 44AB from 30th sept 2015 to 31st oct 2015.

For Individual & Non Audit Entity /person :
Income tax return filing for the Previous year 2014-15 (AY 2015-16) has been extended to 31st August '2015 from 31st July '2015

Service tax @14% from 1st june 2015 instead of 12.36%. Now service tax on restaurant bill will be @ 5.60% instead of currently 4.944%.
