๐ Important GST Update: GSTR-3B Changes from July 2026
GST filing is becoming more automated, which means businesses will need to be extra careful with their monthly compliance.
From July 2026, the ITC section in GSTR-3B will be auto-filled from GSTR-2B and cannot be edited manually.
โ
ITC will be considered only as per GSTR-2B
โ
Any corrections should be made through GSTR-1A before filing GSTR-3B
โ
Once GSTR-3B is filed, no further changes can be made for that month
โ
Timely vendor compliance and regular reconciliation will be more important than ever
What can businesses do now?
โข Match purchase data with GSTR-2B regularly
โข Follow up with vendors for accurate and timely filings
โข Review returns carefully before submission
โข Build a strong monthly GST review process
๐ A small mistake that goes unnoticed today could impact your ITC tomorrow.
Regular reconciliation is no longer just a good practiceโit's becoming a necessity.
How are you preparing your GST processes for this upcoming change?
