5 years back, the 100th Large cap is smaller than the 1st small cap of today…

the 1st Mid cap of 2020, is smaller than the 1st small cap of today …

the 100th mid cap of 2020 is smaller than 250th small cap of today…

Also, the 1st small cap of 2020 is much smaller than 250th smaller cap of today.

Equity market investing is not like FD, you dont get 12% each year. +40% in the first year, -15% in the second year, +30% in the third year & +26.6% in the 4th year is also 12% CAGR
& 40%, - 15%, 0%, 32% is also 12% CAGR

- If you check the image below you will understand how in the last 15 years there have be so many instances of falling markets but yet the average return after 15 years of investment is very decent.

Dont invest in Equities directly or through MFs, PMS, AlF unless you have a 5 - 7 years of investment horizon & understand the above.

Consistency in equity market doesn't mean same return every year real growth often comes wrapped in volatility.

⛳️ Equity (Nifty-500, Sensex) delivered the highest long-term returns: Nifty-500 at 15.2% CAGR over 30 years, outperforming all other classes.

⛳️ Gold and Silver outpaced fixed income over long periods, but with higher year-to-year volatility, Gold continues to be an interesting asset class to watch out for.

⛳️ PPF and FD offered moderate returns quite close to avg inflation of 6.2% over 30 years squeezing returns from lower-yield products over the total timeframe.

🎯 *Milestone Achieved: 17 Years of My First SIP*

Today marks a special personal milestone — my *first ever SIP* in the *Nippon India Value Fund* (formerly Reliance) has completed *17 years*.

The journey began in *July 2008*, during my tenure with *ICICI Bank*. I started a modest SIP of *₹2,000/month*, purely to help a friend meet a sales target — without realizing that I was laying the foundation for my own long-term wealth creation. ₹2,000 was 10% of my Income at that time.

Here’s how the journey unfolded:

🔹 *SIP Amount (2008–2019)*: ₹2,000/month
🔹 *SIP Amount (2019–2025)*: ₹4,000/month
🔹 *Additional Investments*: One Time lumpsum contribution of 40,000
🔹 3 - 4 times SIP got bounced also

📌 *Total Invested*: ₹5.87 Lakhs
📈 *Current Value*: ₹23.87 Lakhs
📊 *CAGR*: 17.41% over 17 years
