Recently, many companies in Hong Kong have ceased operations, with hundreds closing down in a single day.

Sometimes, you might be searching for debtors for a long time. However, when you realise it, the company has already closed. What a pity.

In fact, when a company cancels its registration, the government publishes a notice in the Gazette. We have ways to check if a company is in the process of deregistration. If we discover that a debtor is under deregisterion, apart from requesting the debtor to repay the debt as soon as possible, we also need to apply a court order to restore the company’s registration.
