70% of trucks conveying farm produce to cities get broken in transit everyday. Aggregators are forced to recoup their loses from the remaining produce. These loses is transferred to consumers which affect pricing and quality of farm produce in our markets.
HOW ARE WE SOLVING THAT?
AgriXchain is implementing a shared risk module that ensures that agro-logistics companies are equally liable for the loses in transporting produce and hence reducing the risk of pushing all this cost to the consumer.
I need 25,000 tons of Soya bean annually. Am an aggregator I can get you only 2000 tons. Am a farmer I can only farm 1.5 acres of Soya bean but if I get assistance from input providers on credit I can farm up to 5 acres. The question is how do I the processor meet my annual processing demand. Agri XChain has the most efficient and cost effective solution for all the players in this supply chain. We provide a platform where other aggregators, farmers and input service providers can meet to sign into a simple contract that will allow the processor to meet his/her required annual processing input.
Each one is rewarded from the contract when its delivered.

This is how we always says it " People will one day if not now be concern with what they eat, where it's coming from and those behind it". This is the same idea we presented at the Blockchain Hackathon 2018. We realize that agro exporters in Africa are been banned annually from the international market due to failure to meet standards (quality and quantity) and they loose over USD100 billion annually as a result. Again, agro processors are also shutting down their plants because they are not getting the minimum quantity of raw materials they need to run their plant and the ones they even get are also not meeting the quality they want and as a result they lose over 20% of the purchased raw materials as waste which is equivalent to USD 200 billion annually. Now the questions is where is the problem coming from?, the problem runs from the farmer down to the buyers.
This is the challenge Agri Xchain is solving, by providing a blockchain platform that allow buyers to contract farmers with their standard requirements and farmers using the smart contract as a digital trust tool to access all the inputs, tools and technologies they need even on credit in order to produce to meet the standards.
