Let’s talk about yesterday’s Fiver Friday…

These funfetti cupcakes were the perfect mix of vanilla and chocolate, topped off with all those gorgeous sprinkles. And at just £5 for 3 cupcakes, an absolute bargain!

So, WHY did you have me waiting?! 🤣

Usually, my Fiver Friday boxes are snapped up within 30 minutes, an hour tops! But yesterday, you had me wondering what was going on well into the afternoon. 👀

Thankfully, my die-hard customers came through as always, and by the end, I was still getting messages asking if I had any boxes left! I genuinely could have sold 10+ boxes, but I only had 7 available. You lot nearly had me running back into the kitchen!

A HUGE thank you to my loyal customers who never miss a bargain and continue to support my little business. ❤️

And honestly, one of my favourite parts of Fiver Fridays is the little doorstep chats when you come to collect your cakes. You make my day! 🥰

Plus, if your little ones go to the same school as mine, you already know I’m happy to do school run drop-offs where I can. I was practically carrying more than I could hold!

🍭 Cake pops… a little bit of a love-hate relationship! 😂💕

I absolutely LOVE how cute these turn out, especially when it comes to dipping them in chocolate and finishing them off with a generous sprinkling of rainbow funfetti! 🌈✨ But oh my goodness, the time and effort that goes into making these little beauties is something else! 🙈

As much as I love making them, I’ve had to have a little rethink about offering them as a regular item on my menu. To make them properly, with all the love, time and care they deserve, they would need to be priced at £5+ each, and I’m not sure everyone would expect to pay that for a single cake pop! 🍰

So, for now, I think these might become more of a little treat I make when I have leftover sponge that I can turn into something delicious rather than let it go to waste. 💗

These ones are a mix of vanilla and chocolate cake, coated in either white or milk chocolate and finished with Get Baked Funfetti rainbow sprinkles, which are honestly THE BEST! 🌈😍

🎃 The Pumpkin Biscuit Lady is back! 🎃

Last year, I had SO much fun being known as the “pumpkin biscuit lady” and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way! 😂🍪

And this year is no different!

I’m delighted to be stocking Farmer Johns Maize Maze & Pumpkin Patch for what I think might be my FIFTH year, and returning to Cullen Family Farming for the second year! 🧡

I’ll be bringing along all the autumn favourites, including:

Ain’t that the truth?! 🍰💗

October is here, the days are getting shorter, the sunlight is disappearing earlier and the cosy season is officially upon us! 🍂

And if you’re feeling a little more “SAD” (Seasonal Affective Disorder) than usual, perhaps what you really need is a little slice of cake… 😉🧁

Because sometimes a bit of cake, a cuppa and five minutes to yourself is exactly the treat you need.

🥕 Keeping it real… 🥕

Well… this carrot cake loaf didn’t quite go to plan! 😂

It baked beautifully, and I topped it with the most delicious layer of cream cheese frosting, finished with some little fondant carrots. 🥕✨

The only problem? I baked it that morning because I always want things to be as freshly baked as possible. By the time I opened the Cake Shed at 2pm, the frosting hadn’t quite had time to set properly.

So when I started bagging it up… it slid a little. 😬

Cue me thinking, “I should have put this in a box!” 🤦🏻‍♀️
Except… I didn’t have boxes, and I really didn’t want you to miss out on the carrot cake, so into the Cake Shed it went!

I’ll happily admit it doesn’t look perfect, but it tastes absolutely delicious ❤️

So, I’m keeping it real today: sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes your cream cheese frosting decides to have a little adventure 😂

The carrot cake is still available in the Cake Shed today, if you fancy giving it a chance. 🥕🍰

Okay, I’ve said it twice before… but there was ANOTHER new thing in the shed yesterday! 👀🍫

This one was a bit of a risk because I can honestly say I’ve not really seen it done before… but I thought it would be fun!

White chocolate jazzies (or jazzles, depending on what you call them!) tucked into a gooey blondie. 🤍✨

And oh my goodness… I think this might just have been a good idea! 😍
