After joining the group in April 2025, we have already achieved so many great things together, so we are thrilled to now be taking on the DJH name. 🚀

🚨 Government proposes major change to law firms’ client account interest

The Ministry of Justice is consulting on proposals that could change how interest on lawyers’ client accounts is treated in England & Wales.

Under the proposals, law firms would be required to hand over:

🔹 75% of interest from general client accounts
🔹 50% from designated deposit accounts

This would affect both law firms and their clients, particularly in today’s higher interest rate environment.
