If you are self employed and have GROSS annual income of £80,000 or more, or if you are a Landlord with GROSS rental income of £80,000 or more, then from next April you must comply with the new MTD regime. This means proving that you keep your accounting records digitally, and that you have a suitable HMRC approved filing mechanism for making quarterly submissions.
