Did you know that the teams who look after Burkinshaw's Covert (the 91-acre woodland owned by Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery) recently discovered some pygmy shrews and their caravans at the Covert, albeit by total accident!

The team was cleaning some cargo netting and disturbed nests that had been built underneath the nets. As soon as the nests were discovered, the work stopped immediately. This is a fantastic example of how our conservation and diversity efforts are supporting the natural world on our doorstep!

The founders of the Prax Group formally established Roots as a UK charitable foundation in 2010. The charity evolved into Prax Foundation Roots in 2022, with the name of the charity inspired by the fact that the founders’ roots are in Sri Lanka. More here: www.roots.uk.net

Earlier this year, we successfully delivered our 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 (𝗧𝗔𝗥), which was completed accident-free thanks to the dedication, planning, and safety mindset of our team and over 𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀.

Over 𝟳𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱, all safety targets were met, and the result was an outstanding event that everyone involved can be proud of.

Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery has a total storage capacity of 𝟭,𝟴𝟴𝟳 𝗞𝗰𝗯𝗺 across 𝟭𝟱𝟴 𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀, enabling the efficient handling of both crude and refined products.

With comprehensive logistics infrastructure including rail and road loading facilities, and a high-capacity pipeline to the Greater London area, our refinery plays a key role in maintaining reliable energy supply across the UK.

Significant investment in recent years has enhanced operational flexibility and efficiency, enabling the production of a well-balanced portfolio of retail, commercial, and specialty products to meet both current and future market demands.

🚣‍♀️ 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘅 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀! 🚣‍♂️

On Sunday, a team from across the Prax Group took to the water at 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 for the annual 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀, raising funds for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice.

The Prax Group is proud to support this incredible charity, which provides physical care and emotional support, as well as occupational and complementary therapies for patients facing life-limiting and terminal illnesses.

Last month, 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘅 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀 brought Easter celebrations to over 1,000 children across our supported schools nationwide through engaging and enjoyable egg hunts.

In addition to these activities, our team has been visiting the schools to gain deeper insights into the challenges they face. These conversations are helping us shape more effective, tailored support, and have inspired several promising initiatives to further strengthen our impact.
