There is a lot of anti-immigrant rhetoric and even demonstrations in some Western countries. White Supremacy is at a high ebb. It is more pronounced in the USA, Poland, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand and UK. They forget that their countries are built on wealth extracted from the countries the targeted immigrants originate from. The westerners were not invited there. They occupied by force. The wealth they have and use to dominate, dictate to and discriminate against the minorities was not by fair trade but by looting, piracy, slavery, use of indentured labour and genocides. There is little mention of 10-20 million Africans killed by King Leopold of Belgium (mainly to extract rubber); many were enslaved and tortured. There is also little mention of the torture and killing of Africans in Kenya and other parts of Africa. It is estimated that almost 100 million people suffered starvation in India at the hands of the British; little mention of the many massacres and other terrible deeds. There is also little mention of the fact that the World Wars were won due to the 2.5 million armed personnel from India and money from India never repaid (in contrast UK had to repay the loans from USA, etc); credit is given to the Canadian and Australians instead who contributed much less. They extracted wealth and resources by unfair taxation, unfair trade and relocation of industries like clothing, destroying Indian industries so they could not compete. The Americas were looted, pirated, people enslaved and masses eradicated. The conquests began by the Spanish (who were in turn pirated by the British and Dutch) followed by the Dutch, British, Portuguese, etc. North America is built on slavery, indentured labour from Ireland and India. The Natives were virtually all annihilated as they were in Australia and New Zealand. In order to occupy and control the Kings and Gentry who were rulers encouraged and rewarded their people by giving them land and money if they killed and brought back the scalp of an indigenous Indian or Aborigine. Hundreds of millions were exterminated. Most of these facts are hidden from conventional history and media.
It is a funny sight seeing white Australian and New Zealand occupiers of Aboriginal lands dress as Aborigines and chant their war cries to protest against ethnic minority immigrants when they eradicated the very people they now dress as to protest against coloured immigrants.
The anti-immigration thrust is against ethnic minority immigrants. It is racism to the extreme. It owes its background to the sub-humanisation of non European Christians. The sub humanisation is evidenced by Pope Alexander’s papal decree in 1493 (that non Christians/ non Europeans were sub human and not worthy of holding land or livestock- encouraging the plunder and genocide in America), the fact that Africans were enslaved, others used as indentured labour and that Aborigines were regarded as flora (not human) till early 1960’s.
Most Western people are not aware of the above so not knowing their history behave badly; it is important to make people aware of the history by including the above in mainstream education and media.

A balanced approach, considering individual needs, could help ensure security with some freedom of choice.
