As I sit here on a Friday afternoon having taken in what has happened yesterday with the sad news of the Queen passing away, I find myself feeling a great sense of loss.

She has been our queen for longer than the nearly 50 years I have been in this country and consider her as a constant in our lives for all those years which is remarkable.

I am trying to put into words what I see as her devotion to her country and to her role as Queen. We will probably never see another like her.

Through ups and downs she has carried herself in a way that commands true respect. An amazing achievement.

May she rest in peace as we say farewell to our Queen Elizabeth II. 🙏
