A lot of people are still unsure whether this applies to them.
The key thing to remember is that it’s based on total income from self employment and property, not profit. So if that was over £50,000 in the 2024/25 tax year, it’s worth checking now what you need to do before April 2026.
If you want help working out whether it applies to you, registering, or getting set up on software, message me.

If your accountant only gets in touch at year-end, you’re not getting the full picture, or the support you need to make informed decisions throughout the year.
Good accounting isn’t just about filing what’s already happened. It’s about understanding your business as it is now, spotting what needs attention, and planning for what’s ahead.
At Bay Tree Accounting, I work with business owners throughout the year to provide meaningful insight, practical advice, and the confidence to move forward.
If that’s the kind of relationship you’re looking for, I’d love to hear from you.
