Where Numbers Meet Negotiation. Credit Controller

We're hiring a Credit Controller to take ownership of client receivables - keeping cash flow steady, client relationships strong, and books clean. If you can be firm without being pushy and know that behind every overdue invoice is a conversation worth handling well, read on.

What You'll Do

• Monitor client accounts and maintain accurate records of outstanding invoices and payments
• Regularly review the aged receivables report and identify overdue balances
• Contact clients by email and telephone to follow up on overdue invoices and outstanding payments
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with clients while ensuring payments are collected promptly
• Send payment reminders, statements and copies of invoices where required
• Investigate and resolve payment queries, invoice discrepancies and client account issues
• Negotiate and agree payment arrangements where appropriate
• Allocate and record client payments accurately in the accounting system
• Assist with bank and customer account reconciliations
• Maintain up-to-date client account and credit-control records
• Work closely with the bookkeeping and accounts teams to resolve outstanding balances
• Use Xero or QuickBooks to review invoices, customer balances, payments and account information
• Provide regular updates on collection progress and outstanding debts
Qualifications
• AAT, ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent accounting qualifications full or part qualified
• Alternatively, a Diploma / HND / Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in credit control, accounts receivable, bookkeeping or finance

Requirements & Qualifications

* Educational Qualification: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Business Analysis Knowledge: Basic understanding of business analysis concepts, requirements gathering, software development, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to understand problems, identify patterns, and think logically.
* Documentation Skills: Good understanding of how to document information clearly and systematically. Familiarity with user stories, acceptance criteria, or process flows would be an advantage.
* Wireframing: Basic knowledge of wireframing or UI/UX concepts is an added advantage.

We're growing our UK compliance team and looking for someone who treats SA100s, CT600s, and VAT returns as more than just forms to fill. If you know your way around HMRC, spot errors before they surface, and take pride in work that leaves the desk clean the first time, this seat has your name on it. Key Responsibilities

• UK Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and accurately file SA100 (Self-Assessment) and CT600 (Corporation Tax) returns in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
• VAT Management: Oversee the end-to-end preparation, reconciliation, and timely submission of UK VAT returns.
• Software & Systems: Utilize industry-standard UK tax calculators and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar) to streamline financial reporting and tax computations.
• Quality Assurance: Review the work of junior team members, ensuring all financial documentation meets Company's quality standards before final sign-off.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience specifically working in a UK accounting firm or handling UK client portfolios.
• Educational Background: Part-qualified or fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA, CA, or holding a relevant degree in Finance/Accounting.
• Technical Expertise: Absolute proficiency in navigating the UK tax system, with demonstrable experience filing SA100s, CT600s, and VAT returns.
• Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with UK accounting platforms, tax calculators, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
