World Menopause Day π
Today, on World Menopause Day, we recognise the impact menopause can have on the health, wellbeing and working lives of many of our members.
Nobody should have to struggle in silence or feel unable to ask for support at work.
Creating menopause-friendly workplaces helps colleagues remain healthy, confident and valued throughout their careers.
UNISON has long campaigned for better awareness, practical workplace support and policies that recognise the realities of menopause.
We're pleased that Aberdeen City Council has now introduced a Menopause and Menstrual Health Policy, helping to create a more supportive and inclusive workplace for staff.
As a union, we'll continue to work with the Council and challenge stigma so that everyone affected by menopause is treated with dignity, understanding and respect.
π Let's keep the conversation going.
