📢 Social Insurance Update – 2026

From 1 January 2026, Cyprus social insurance parameters are changing.

✔️ Maximum insurable earnings increase to €68,904 p.a.
✔️ Higher monthly and weekly ceilings apply
✔️ Employer contribution costs may rise
✔️ Payroll systems must be updated in time

Deemed Dividend Distribution – 2025

Cyprus tax resident companies with 2023 accounting profits must ensure that at least 70% of those profits are distributed by 31 December 2025.

If not, a deemed dividend arises automatically — triggering:
• 17% SDC (where applicable)
• 2.65% GHS

Payable by 31 January 2026.

📌 Second Provisional Tax — 2025 Reminder

The deadline for submitting the 2nd provisional tax return and paying the corresponding amount for tax year 2025 is approaching.

🔸 Deadline: 31 December 2025
Applicable to companies and individuals with taxable income (excluding salaries, pensions, dividends, and interest).

Early assessment avoids penalties, interest, and last-minute pressure.
