2026 Partial Income Tax Payments

Partial payments are advance income tax payments that are later credited toward the annual tax return.

For the 2026 fiscal period, the key dates to keep in mind are:

• December 31

Update: Official Email Registration Deadline Extended

The Registro Nacional de Costa Rica has extended the deadline for commercial companies to register an official email.

Starting September 5, 2026, documents related to commercial companies without an official email registered before the National Registry will not be processed, and the corresponding defect will be recorded.

This requirement remains an important compliance step for many businesses in Costa Rica.
