On July 7th, we had an incredible day celebrating 40 years of Vidir at our Arborg location!
Our 40th Anniversary Open House brought together employees, families, customers, shareholders, and members of our community to celebrate four decades of growth, innovation, and the people who make it all possible.
Inspiring remarks and recognition were articulated during the speeches by James Bezan (MP for Selkirk-Interlake-Eastman), Derek Johnson (MLA for Interlake-Gimli-Manitoba), Trevor King (MLA for Lakeside), Peter Dueck (Mayor of Arborg and a Vidir Shareholder), Sid Dueck (a Vidir Shareholder), Jirah Dueck (a Vidir Shareholder and Manager of Customer Care), and Ernest Rempel (Vidir’s CEO). This and a special employee video sharing what they love most about working at Vidir contributes a powerful reminder that the people are the heart of everything at Vidir, embodying our value, “Raise Others Up”, and recognizing the encouragement and collaboration that support Vidir’s culture.
Guests also had the opportunity to tour our manufacturing facility and see firsthand how we are Making the World’s Products Safely Accessible through innovative solutions. These tours showcased the remarkable technology, passion, and expertise behind it. Vidir’s history was also showcased in a video and throughout the facility through images and the original Vidir Machine Shop sign.
This milestone was also celebrated with cake cutting, cupcakes, family-friendly activities including colouring, face painting, and balloon animals, and a hot dog lunch portraying that Community Creates Meaning.
