Congratulations to Team Harding for completing their 5th annual the Ride To Conquer Cancer! Collectively they raised over $50,000 for cancer research and rode over 200km from Toronto to Niagara Falls! Way to go Team Harding!!
Join our team - Manufacturing Coordinator
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Review designs and advise on best manufacturing methods
- Provide “Ball Park” quotes
- Request design revisions as necessary
- Review and approve Production specs
- Build final Bill of Materials, Work Routers and Production Timeline
o Consult with Production as necessary
- Obtain material quotes
- Identify opportunities to outsource & obtain quotes
- Creates final quote from BOM & Router
- Purchase materials
- Coordinate outsourcing with any necessary paper work
- Confirm deliverables from suppliers are on track (material and outsourced work)
- Sign off on first production run to ensure quality standards are being met
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years experience in a manufacturing facility, POP industry considered an asset, but is not required.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience with vendor relations and purchasing materials
- Ability to understand production drawings
- General Computer literacy required
- Experience with an ERP system is considered an asset

Major Job Responsibilities:
- To manage and oversee the successful flow of a display project from brief through to shipment. (Projects will vary from simple corrugate displays, to complex paint chip displays)

- Resolves production issues and ensures the project is on track

- Post Secondary education required
- Experience managing projects in a manufacturing facility

Join our team - Design Assistant
Job Description
The responsibility of the position includes but is not limited to operating a large format printer, assist in the printing and assembly of prototypes, picking up and delivering display components, producing instruction sheets, and creating client presentations. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a collaborative team environment and willing to learn. He/she must be able to multitask and work under pressure. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a design studio environment.
Experience
• 0-1 years of experience in the POP/POS or related industry
Technical Skills
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of vinyl cutting and large format printing would be a definite asset
• Experience with Keynote and/or PowerPoint would be an asset
• Knowledge of POP/POS would be an asset
Personal Skills
• Must be able to multi-task in a deadline driven, fast paced environment
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE COORDINATOR
POSITION SUMMARY:
In alignment with Harding’s value of building strategic customer and supplier partnerships, the AP team strives to utilize technology to streamline processes and practices and look for continuous improvement opportunities. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, demanding environment, providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders, then this may be the role for you.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring vendor invoices are processed accurately and timely, including application of taxes (PST, GST/HST, QST), monthly accruals and managing inquiries. The Accounts Payable position reports to the Controller.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive (by mail and email) supplier invoices
- Date stamp, match, code and post A/P invoices ensuring all invoices have proper approval
- Prepare and mail weekly cheque runs
- Daily bank deposits
- Prepare monthly AP reconciliations and journal entries
- Prepare month end accruals
- Filing and maintaining paper and electronic database records
- Form payment strategies to make timely A/P payments and mitigate supplier objections
- Responding to all payment inquiries (by phone and email) in a timely and pleasant manner
- Involved in year end inventory count
- Other miscellaneous duties as required
- Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners

This edition of “Meet The Team” features our Chief Financial Officer, Kevin Mason.
Kevin originally worked at Harding during the summers from the ages 16-19. After graduating from York University with a Bachelor Honours in Accounting and receiving his CA designation, Kevin worked at Ernst & Young for 11 years, working his way up to Senior Manager. Wanting an opportunity to be involved in an owner-managed and entrepreneurial world, Kevin returned to Harding as the CFO and used his experience and knowledge to help continue the success of the company.
Kevin is at the forefront of all financial stewardship decisions. He also contributes to corporate decision-making, and strategic investments including our investments in systems, people, technologies, and partnerships.
When asked why he chose the accounting profession, Kevin replied, “Finance and accounting lies at the heart of all business. I’ve always taken an interest in understanding what drives the engine and hoped that someday I could use my experience and knowledge to own a small/medium sized business or join one with the history and success that Harding Display has experienced over the past 87 years.”
Outside of the office, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, especially at the cottage. He also has a passion for sports; playing hockey and baseball, as well as being an avid mountain biker.
