Having learned from the poor financial advice I received at that time, I became a financial planner and since 2009 have focused on working with doctors, dentists, and business owners.

And I love it.

Consider this: your child’s ex-spouse could end up with 50% of the money you left that child in your will.

My kids don’t have any kids of their own – at least, not that I know of.

But for down the road, when perhaps they do have children, and I pass away, I’m making sure my kids will be able to access the money I’ve left them and get taxed only at their kids’ tax bracket!

That’s right: the money will be taxed at my grandchildren’s tax rate. It’s a highly effective income splitting strategy, achieved by creating Testamentary Trusts.
