Online filing for 2025 tax returns begins February 23, 2026

🟥INDIVIDUALS:

For the 2025 tax year (taxes filed in 2026), the deadline for most individuals to file their return and pay any balance owing to the CRA is April 30, 2026.

🟥SELF EMPLOYED:

For the 2025 tax year (taxes filed in 2026), self-employed individuals in Canada must file their tax return by June 15, 2026, but any balance owing must be paid by April 30, 2026, to avoid interest. If the self-employed person or their spouse has a tax shelter investment, the filing deadline is April 30, 2026.
