Avoid tax season surprises – keep your CRA account up to date!
A smooth tax season starts with accurate CRA account information and ensuring that you can sign in.
Before February 23rd, 2026 (online filing):
✅Ensure you can access your CRA account. If you’ve forgotten your sign-in info, you can regain access by completing the online registration process again.
✅Add a backup multi-factor authentication (MFA) option. Starting February 2026, a backup MFA method (passcode grid or third-party authenticator app) will be required.
✅Update your personal info: address, phone number, marital status, direct deposit, and more.
By taking these steps now, you can avoid delays, prevent account lockouts, and skip the need to call during our busiest time of the year.
