At this time of year, our thoughts of reflection turn to the thousands of Canadians who answered the call and gave their lives to defend their friends, family, country, and future generations like us. We pause to remember them and to honour the men and women of today who continue to serve Canadians during times of conflict and peace.

How do you create an award-winning company culture? One of the ways we do it is by honouring our priority to maintain transparency and collaboration through communication.

We all know faulty communication plays a massive role in conflicts; it also creates inefficiencies, increases workloads, and leaves people confused about their roles and tasks. Effective communication isn't easy, and we strive to remember that it's as much about listening as it is about talking! We have regular company-wide Huddles to keep everyone aligned, and we're all quick to invite each other into discussions, which often leads to even greater creativity and innovation.

We'd love to hear your thoughts: What do you think are the main causes of miscommunication and how do you believe companies can increase effective communication?

From the moment Amit started with us one year ago, he has turned his attention to providing stability to overlooked tasks. Amit goes out of his way to figure out what needs to be done and get it done in an efficient way. Thank you Amit for daily demonstrating our core value of Accountability!

On May 22 we celebrated five years of Andrew Mark's dedication to our customers. In his role as Technical Customer Support Specialist, Andrew brings endless amounts of value to our Award-winning support team. He's a fantastic role model for the rest of the team to look up to when it comes to explaining issues and assisting customers. Thank you Andrew, and here's to many more years!

On May 20, 1998, Steve Douglas started as a web developer for Nucleus Information Service; the oldest ISP in Calgary! His role was to generate amazing, customized websites for customers, and he was also responsible for the creation of almost all the tools that Nucleus had back in the day. As Nucleus transitioned into the Fibernetics family, Steve's role changed from web developer to systems tech, where he is now an important contributor to our fantastic system care/SAS-email/SAS-hosting team. Twenty-five years later, Steve shows up every day eager to learn and be the best kind of team player. Congrats Steve on 25 years!

Last month we celebrated Gary Handelman's fifteenth work anniversary! Gary is our VP of Product & Chief Architect and we are beyond grateful that his passion and dedication to his craft intersect with our company goals and dreams. Thank you Gary for your years of hard work, and the chats filled with valuable insight - we look forward to many more!
