We went on a much needed break from work to Panorama on Saturday August 1, 2026
After arriving and getting settled, the family sat down to watch a movie on Netflix .
Towards the end of the movie, as the rescue was underway, the power went out. Dark everywhere. My daughter phoned management on the cel and she was told that the forest fire in the area had created the problem. We would get the power back soon.
Next day, after a night in the dark, using cellphones for emergencies some people had started to pack up and leave. After breakfast, we decided to leave too.
We were on the road and from panorama to Banff, there seemed to be no power.
We were bony late Sunday, after having spent only one night in Panorama.
What a ‘holiday’. But we had good family time - 3 families in all. #😌🥱✅
