This month we're focused on sharing more information about the DTC and RDSP - two financial tools that can help anyone with a disability or impairment.
To start, we encourage everyone to learn more about the DTC. It might be useful to you or someone you know, including aging parents or grandparents.
It's important to note that the DTC is not just for visible disabilities, but for any impairment, physical, intellectual or mental, that affects a person's life daily.
Also, it can be a disability that a person has developed later in life. Seniors often qualify based on impairments they have developed with age.
If you aren't sure if you or a loved one might qualify, ask us!

Partners for Planning - How to Apply For the Disability Tax Credit
The Disability Tax Credit (DTC) is a non-refundable tax credit. It helps people with a disability, or those who support them, to reduce the amount of income tax they have to pay. The DTC also opens the door to other valuable credits and programs.

The SINGLE BEST WAY to save for retirement is to set up automatic contributions to your RRSP or TFSA.
Then set it and forget it.
The rest of your income is yours to spend however you like.
Whether you can save $100 per month or $1,000 per month, the goal should be to save something.
