The National Board of Revenue (NBR), through its Central Intelligence Cell (CIC), has discovered at least 1,339 high-end cars that have been purchased and used for years even registered with the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) but not declared in tax filings.

করদাতা কর্তৃক দাখিলকৃত আয়কর রিটার্নে তার আয়, ব্যয়, সম্পদ ও দায় সম্পর্কিত সঠিক তথ্য প্রদর্শন না করে মিথ্যা বা অসত্য তথ্য প্রদান করলে আয়কর আইন, ২০২৩ এর ধারা ৩১২ ও ৩১৩ অনুসারে করদাতাকে ৫ বছর পর্যন্ত কারাদণ্ড প্রদানের বিধান রয়েছে।

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has issued Special Order No. 01/2025 on 03-Aug-2025, making it mandatory for all individual taxpayers to submit their income tax returns online for Assessment Year 2025-26 via the e-Return portal: https://etaxnbr.gov.bd/
𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬:
☑️ Taxpayers aged 65 years or above
☑️ Physically disabled / special-needs taxpayers (with proper certification)
☑️ Bangladeshi taxpayers residing abroad
☑️ Legal representatives of deceased taxpayers
