EOFY Super Checklist 2025–26
EOFY super planning is not about rushing decisions in the final week of June.
It is about checking whether your contribution strategy, cashflow and broader financial structure remain aligned before taking action.
Before 30 June, key areas to review may include:
• concessional contribution caps
• carry-forward contribution eligibility
• timing of contributions
• beneficiaries
• insurance inside super
• cashflow and tax position
EOFY planning should not create pressure. It should support clearer, more structured decision-making.
Before taking action, speak with your adviser and consider what is appropriate for your circumstances.

The 2026–27 Federal Budget included a number of legislated and proposed measures that may be relevant to tax planning, property investment, superannuation, small business and retirement planning.
For most people, the right response is not to rush.
A better question is:
Does this change anything in my financial structure?
Areas that may be worth reviewing include:
• how your investments are owned
• whether your property strategy remains suitable
• whether your trust or business structure remains effective
• your superannuation balance and contribution strategy
• your retirement income and pension position
Many Budget measures remain proposed, subject to legislation, and may change.
At Earnest InvestSmart, our view remains simple:
Review your structure before reacting.
