A favourite knit of mine, off to Canada.

It because way too small for me so I decided to let someone else have it. The pattern is Papillon and is not size inclusive. My favourite part to knit was the neckline.

Some Dorsey Horn sock yarn coming to the shop soon :)

Handwoven bookmarks available in the shop now :) this one features hand spun wool yarn with some recycled sari silk.

[Image description: the image has a white border. It’s a closeup of a woven bookmark hanging out of the bottom of a book. You can just see the title of the book is ‘Fingersmith’. The bookmark is grey, mustard, and rainbow. It’s on a white circular table.]

Available in the shop is this hank of nylon-free hand spun sock yarn! It’s spun from Dorset Horn top dyed in NSW by .krita - I think there’s some left in her store if you want to spin your own. It’s a hard wearing wool perfect for socks.

Website link in bio.

I have finally finished this scarf/wrap (finished photos to come soon). I wanted to highlight the added texture sewing in the weft threads vertically makes. I enjoy.

The new Fleece and Wheel website is on THE BRINK of existence.

[image description: there is a white border. The image inside is a close up of a woven piece of fabric still on the loom. It is blue in the right hand side and cream/white on the left hand side. You can see thickened areas where I have sewn in the warp ends.]

I’m planning a massive destash sale on my Etsy store soon, there will be fabric, wool, batts, yarn, and this beautiful pure silk which I’m attempting to dye prettily today; if I f**k it up there will be some beautiful black silk yarn for sale 😉 help me out folks, I don’t wanna pack all my s**t up.

We are doing adult things next week; we are meeting with a real estate agent, an accountant, and a mortgage broker. 0/10 not looking forward to being responsible. I always feel weird when meeting with Professionals, like they’ll look at me and see some weird fifteen year old child trying to act like a grown up.

Today I’m grateful: that I seem to have grown out of my soap allergy so my hands have never been cleaner.

When I first learnt to knit many moons ago I quickly became obsessed with hand knitted socks. I have a whole Pinterest board. Anyway I tried a few times and decided I hated it but then I was like f**k you all I want to knit some socks! So I worked out it was the yarn, I don’t like commercial sock yarn 🤷🏼 so I spun my own (and now I’m never spinning any other type of yarn again). Lo and behold I enjoyed the yarn so much I finished a whole pair of socks in a matter of weeks! 10/10 would recommend spinning your own yarn for socks. I will probably do a more detailed blog post later, I’m up to my armpits in nursing study s**t.
